Founded in 1987, the gallery has always favoured a cross-disciplinary approach to art.
From the outset, this has led it to organise exhibitions of contemporary art, while maintaining a strong interest in artists from the 1960s, which it continues to follow today.

It was during this same period that the great masters of the comic strip came to the gallery as a matter of course.

Over the last twenty years, the gallery has also built up a solid reputation in this field, drawing on its collection of photographs from the inter-war period.
